Bris Milah Prayer
May it be your will, Hashem our God,
and the God of our forefathers,
that this baby should grow up to be
healthy and strong, wise and holy.
And so too, may you bless me and my family,
that we should be blessed with
Health, Wealth & Harmony,
Loving relationships with Friends and Family,
successful education of the next generation,
a strong, honest relationship with You, oh Lord,
and (insert personal prayer here).
And May you include my prayers
with the cry of this pure child
and fulfill the verse,
“The Lord hears my plea,
The Lord will accept my prayer.”
“יהי רצון מלפניך ה´ אלוקינו ואלוקי אבותינו
שתגדל רך הנימול להיות חזק ובריא, חכם וצדיק
ושנהיה אנחנו ובני ביתנו
בריאים וחזקים בפרנסה והצלחה ושלום וכל טוב
.לעבדך באמת ובשמחה
:ותוכלל תפילתי עם בכיית הילד ויקויים בי הפסוק
“שמע ה´ תחינתי, ה´ תפילתי יקח“
וימלא ה´ יתברך כל משאלות לבנו לטובה. אמן

The Bris Prayer is customarily concluded with the following Chapter of Psalms.
Psalms 6 – תהילים פרק ו׳
1 For the conductor; with instrumental music on the eight stringed harp. A psalm by David.
לַמְנַצֵּחַ בִּנְגִינוֹת עַל־הַשְּׁמִינִית מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד׃א
2 Hashem, do not rebuke me in your anger and do not chastise me in your wrath.
יְֽהֹוָ֗ה אַל־בְּאַפְּךָ֥ תוֹכִיחֵ֑נִי וְֽאַל־בַּחֲמָתְךָ֥ תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃ב
3 Favor me, Hashem, for I am feeble; heal me, Hashem, for my bones shake with terror.
יְהֹוָה אַל־בְּאַפְּךָ תוֹכִיחֵנִי וְאַל־בַּחֲמָתְךָ תְיַסְּרֵנִי׃ג
4 My sould is utterly terrified, and you, Hashem, until when?
וְנַפְשִׁי נִבְהֲלָה מְאֹד וְאַתָּה יְהֹוָה עַד־מָתָי׃ד
5 Return Hashem, release my soul, save me as befits your kindness.
שׁוּבָה יְהֹוָה חַלְּצָה נַפְשִׁי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי לְמַעַן חַסְדֶּךָ׃ה
6 For there is no mention of you in death; in the grave, who will praise you?
כִּי אֵין בַּמָּוֶת זִכְרֶךָ בִּשְׁאוֹל מִי יוֹדֶה־לָּךְ׃ו
7 I am wearied with my sigh; every night I drench my bed; I soak my couch with my tears.
יָגַעְתִּי בְּאַנְחָתִי אַשְׂחֶה בְכל־לַיְלָה מִטָּתִי בְּדִמְעָתִי עַרְשִׂי אַמְסֶה׃ז
8 My eye is dimmed because of anger, aged by all my tormentors.
עָשְׁשָׁה מִכַּעַס עֵינִי עָתְקָה בְּכל־צוֹרְרָי׃ח
9 Depart from me, all evildoers, for Hashem has heard the sound of my weeping.
סוּרוּ מִמֶּנִּי כּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן כִּי־שָׁמַע יְהֹוָה קוֹל בִּכְיִי׃ט
10 Hashem has heard my plea, Hashem will accept my prayer.
שָׁמַע יְהֹוָה תְּחִנָּתִי יְהֹוָה תְּפִלָּתִי יִקָּח׃י
11 Let all my enemies be shamed and utterly confounded; they will regret and instantly be shamed.
יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲלוּ מְאֹד כּל־אֹיְבָי יָשֻׁבוּ יֵבֹשׁוּ רָגַע׃יא
